Ghost Hunts at The Feathers Hotel

The Feathers Inn became The Feathers Hotel in 1863 and along with Ludlow Castle has become the focal point for tourists visiting the historic town. It has also become known as an extremely haunted location and has given many of its residents a fright or two over the years.

Room 211 apparently plays host to a rather jealous spirit who doesn't take kindly to female guests. One visitor awoke to find herself being dragged out of bed by her hair. Upon finally falling asleep again she awoke to find herself drenched in water, while the bed around her remained dry. Her partner meanwhile slept soundly, experiencing just a pleasant gentle stroking sensation on his face.

The apparition of a gentleman dressed in Victorian clothing has been seen by guests and staff walking his dog through room 232 into room 233 before disappearing. The car park outside is the scene of a frequently witnessed 'modern' ghost which only seems seems to appear to men. A young, scantily clad girl has been seen on many occasions walking through cars before vanishing into thin air. It is thought that this is a very rare 'living' ghost, and a local researcher even believes he has found the girl in question. Now living elsewhere, she apparently used to take that route to visit a relative, and since it was such a happy time in her life, often visualises herself walking that same path again.

It is evident that The Feathers Hotel is a hotspot for paranormal activity and inexplicable incidents, so why not join Eerie Evenings for a night of otherworldly entertainment in this magnificent location?

An Eerie Evening at The Feathers Hotel Includes:

~ Welcome Drink of Traditional Mead
~ Two Course Evening Meal
~ History Talk and Ghostly Tales
~ Platform Readings from our Spiritualist Mediums
~ Late Night Ghost Hunt & Paranormal Investigation
~ Opportunity to use Ghost-Hunting Equipment
~ Séance and Controlled Contact Experiments
~ Optional Hotel Accommodation with Breakfast
~ Refreshments Throughout

*The event will run from approx. 8pm - 2.30am*
*Guests with hotel rooms can check in from 3pm and must check out by 11am*

Ludlow

12th - 14th September

Ludlow Food Festival

Ludlow Food and Drink Festival started in 1995 and it's grown and grown ever since - not just in terms of numbers of visitors and exhibitors and events, but also in terms of reputation throughout and beyond the United Kingdom.

The objective has remained the same: celebrating the quality and diversity of the superb independent food and drink producers and suppliers that abound in Ludlow and the Marches. You won't find promotion of the globalised, standardised, industrially-produced products that you can find in every supermarket. What you will find here is an abundance of REAL food and drink - from rare breeds of meat to real ale, cider and perry, produced and sold by people who really care about what they are doing.

You'll also find that the festival is great fun. There's a brilliant atmosphere throughout the weekend that you won't forget. There really is something for everyone, from gourmet to sausage fan to beer lover. Once you've tried it you'll come to Ludlow again and again!
