The Area Around Rose CottageHereford Cathedral and its famous medieval map of the world, The Mappa Mundi, is a quarter of an hour away. The market towns of Leominster and Ludlow with their variety of independent shops, not available in most high streets sadly, are within easy reach.
Leominster has a wide variety of antique shops and buildings of historical interest such as the Grange or The Priory Church. Leominster is also the start of the Black and White village trail which includes Weobley, 15 mins from Tall Trees, which has a good pub which serves food. Ludlow has a huge Norman Castle , St Lawrence's Church, antiques and excellent restaurants, including two michelin restaurants. Hay on Wye is the place for books and is a lovely place to visit and shop for other things.
Further South is Tintern Abbey and to the West, Chepstow Castle. Other places to visit include Symonds Yat, or you can canoe on the Wye, or go walking in the Golden Valley. To the West, the Offa's Dyke path and the isolated, high beauty of the Brecons are worth experiencing. Herefordshire is littered with Farm shops and these provide some of the best produce to be found in the country, including many organic products.
The cottage is suitable as a quiet country escape, offering the ideal location to explore South Shropshire, Herefordshire and Wales. There are several market towns, all with historic interest: Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Leominster, Hereford, and Hay on Wye a little further. Other towns of interest are Much Wenlock, birthplace of the modern day Olympics and Bishop’s Castle with it's local Brewery.
Rose Cottage is ideal for a family get together. It is a peaceful retreat offering quietness and relaxation well away from the rush of the world in a beautiful place.

February 2017 "Just loved your beds, bedding and bed linen. So comfortable and we slept so well - and I have a bad back and never sleep well....."
October 2016 "We had a lovely stay in Rose Cottage. The property was very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very peaceful but close enough to the town to get shopping and lots of nice places to visit. There was a very nice park in town to exercise the 2 dogs.
We would recommend this property and would very much like to return in the future."
September 2016 "We found Rose Cottage extremely comfortable with everything we needed provided. the quality of furnishing and accessories was of a very high standard. The beds and bedding first class. The location was perfect peaceful and with a pleasant private outdoor garden space. All this allied with it's close proximity to the amenities of all that leominster has to offer.
Would highly recommend to anyone and will definately use again whenever we visit the area. With thanks and regards Mike."
August 2016 "We have just returned from a week staying at Rose Cottage. We enjoyed our time in the lovely cottage , a perfect base for exploring the beautiful surrounding area. The cottage was peaceful and well equipped with an enclosed garden perfect for dogs. The information pamphlets and guides in the cottage were really helpful as the area was new to us.
Your website was clear and informative and easy to navigate. The booking process was straightforward with quick responses. All in all a good experience! Am hoping that it won't be too long before we can book again."

April 2016 "We had a lovely few days in Rose Cottage in Leominster......"
December 2015 "We had a lovely stay thank you very much. The beds and living room furniture were all very comfortable and the shower was great. It was so nice to have such a good bed as often they are old mattresses in holiday rentals with cheap pillows and are not very comfortable, these beds were amazing. Having a fenced back garden was a bonus and enabled the dogs to go outside easily. The house was lovely and quiet and there was no noise from the houses adjoining on either side. The one set of neighbors were lovely and helpful too. The property was spotlessly clean and the lounge was cozy and very warm and inviting. It was so nice to have the Christmas tree and all the board games were a nice touch too, we even left one of ours behind to add to the collection..........."
October 2015 "We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage and found everything to be of high quality. Everything we wanted was provided.......
However, I was very impressed with the emails from Tom and Anna and we found directions and key collection details very clear and accurate. We would love to stay there again and would be more than happy to use your firm."
September 2015 "Generally excellent. Special mention should be made of the very comfortable beds, the high quality of the bed linen and towels, and the furnishings in general. Efficient heating system....."
July 2015 "Immaculate preoperty enabled us to relax and visit lovely area"

July 2015 "We found Rose cottage very clean and comfortable with an exceptionally comfortable bed. We felt very much at home and would certainly consider another visit in the future."
June 2015 This beautiful cottage pleasantly surprised. With a young family we were impressed at how well this idyllic home suited our needs.
It's got all the facilities you need for a holiday plus more. The rooms had a fantastic cottage like feel and were a good size. The children loved playing in the secluded back garden. We had some very relaxing walks in the surrounding countryside - the perfect tonic to our busy lives back home - it was great that Leominster was such a short drive away. With the county city of Hereford about 20 minutes drive away, we found plenty to keep the kids occupied.
This holiday home comes highly recommended by us.
