The kitchen/dining area is very well equipped and easily has everything you need to have a very comfortable stay including a digital radio.

The second bedroom is a twin, very comfortable, all have plenty of hanging space. You can reach the private garden through the large sliding doors in the double bedroom and also from the main entrance to the apartment.

The garden is private with attractive trellis fencing, with a lovely table and chairs provided it is perfect for al fresco dining or just enjoying a glass of something on warm summer evenings. The Area Around Callow View

Callow View is an excellent place for the exploration of the Shropshire Hills. Great walks can start from the cottage and many of the sites and events and are within an hour's drive.

You can visit Ironbridge Gorge Museums, Severn Valley Railway and Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, great with or without children. Shrewsbury, with a fine castle and Abbey and interesting surviving historic medieval buildings is worth a visit. Ludlow has a huge Norman castle, the impressive St Lawrence's Church, many festivals, a large range of independent shops and it has a great selection of excellent restaurants, including 2 Michelin star ones. Hereford Cathedral with its 13th century Mappa Mundi is a little further away but still worth visiting, Hereford being the county capital is much larger with a good variety of shops and amenities.

Alternatively, Hay on Wye, famous for its book festival, is a lovely border town and a good day out. Ancient and historical ruins together with modern crafts can be found in quiet and interesting places such as Bishops Castle and Clun.

Callow View is in a good location to explore South Shropshire, Herefordshire and Wales. There are several market towns, all with historic interest: Shrewsbury , Ludlow, Leominster and Hereford. There is a photo gallery for Hay on Wye. Other towns of interest are Clun and Bishop’s Castle with its local Brewery The Three Tuns, perfect for Real Ale lovers.

Church Stretton , on the edge of the Long Mynd, has some of the very best walking countryside in England. You can walk to Stokesay Castle , the other castles and big houses you may need to hop on a train or drive to are Ludlow Castle, Croft and Berrington.

April 2017 "High praise indeed for the owners' wonderful accommodation. Our little family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Callow View. It is close to amenities, and yet is set back from the village. The let itself is really well equipped, they really have thought of everything. I would highly recommend this let as a couple or with small children, it really is a lovely place, with plenty to do nearby. Thank you so much for having us"

June 2015 "Callow View is a delightful property, spacious, 100% clean and functioning, well fitted out, lovely helpful owners, and as dog owners themselves they were very accommodating of our young pooch!

Craven Arms itself is not the prettiest of places, but it does have a petrol station, a big supermarket, and various takeaways etc, all within walking distance, and is in a very central position for travelling round this beautiful county.

We give it a resounding 10 out of 10, and recommend it to your clients 100%. Thanks for all your help too - we had a slight problem over the booking initially, but you sorted things out very quickly and efficiently, and we are very grateful."

April 2014 "Our party of two has just spent a pleasant week at Callow View in Craven Arms. The accommodation was very well fitted out and in a quiet green area away from busy roads. From the kitchen you could indeed see the recently renovated Flounders Folly on Callow Hill. The environs made wonderful walking countryside and Merinda had supplied a terrific supply of guides. We had a couple of delightful walks directly from the cottage..."

October 2013 "Just to let you know we had a great time at Callow View. It is pleasantly situated, off the main round so it is nice & quiet, but not to far from the main amenities & places of interest. The accommodation is very well looked after, clean & tidy & caters for all requirements. There was even some biscuits & a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. There is a large amount of useful information to be found in Callow View i.e brochure's, flyers & maps informing the holiday maker of places of interest. The proprietors, who live adjoining Callow View, are very friendly, helpful & seem keen to make sure you have a good stay. This was our second stay at Callow View & hopefully will not be our last. If our stay is a reflection of the quality & standards set by `Country Holiday Lets` all I can say is well done & keep up the good work."

Aug 2011
"We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Callow view, the accommodation was very well equipped and furnished and spotlessly clean. We received a warm welcome on arrival and there was a well organised selection of folders with brochures, leaflets and recommendations for the area, including walking guides, which we made good use of during our stay. The area is beautiful and we spent every day exploring on foot or by car. We particularly enjoyed the excellent choice of local produce available everywhere we went. We would certainly recommend this holiday to friends and family and hope to return in the future."

June 2011
"we had a lovely few days at Callow View - it is a very pleasant, nicely furnished and well-equipped flat with plenty of room for three adults. Craven Arms itself is not the most exciting town in Shropshire but is well placed for touring and Stokesay Castle, just outside the town, is delightful. Thank you for accommodating our needs which were outside your normal booking schedule."
